RWG Groundworks recently completed the reconstruction of an equestrian arena, replacing an existing riding school that had suffered from major drainage and levelling issues.
The original arena had been incorrectly constructed and was over one metre out of level across the site. Poor drainage and uneven levels had significantly affected its usability, making it unsuitable for the customer's long-term requirements.
Working closely with the client, we designed and constructed a completely new arena to the required specification. The project involved extensive excavation, site levelling, drainage installation and the construction of a new arena base to create a stable and long-lasting foundation.
Careful surveying and level control were essential throughout the works to correct the significant differences in ground levels. The new drainage system was designed to efficiently remove surface water and help maintain a consistent riding surface throughout the year.
The completed arena provides a professional-quality riding environment with improved drainage, accurate levels and a durable surface designed for regular equestrian use. The finished project has transformed the site and resolved the issues that had affected the original arena for many years.
RWG Groundworks specialises in equestrian arena construction, arena drainage, site preparation and groundworks projects throughout Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the wider West Wales area.
